Hi friends we are Beernutz, a 3 man acoustic act performing in the Long Island area for the past 7 years. We play the best in Classic Rock, Top 40's, and a little dance music after everyones feeling good. We perform mainly happy hour because....well because were getting old and need our rest. Oh and the beer is cheaper then as well. So check out our schedule and come on down toss back a few beers and enjoy some good music. Now let me introduce you to the band. Tom DeNapoli: Guitar and Vocals - Born in the Bronx and raised in E.Islip, N.Y. Tommy, now resides in W.Islip. No stranger to the music scene as prior stints in bands such as Fiction and Tailspin have prepared him for his acoustical wizardry he now brings to Beernutz...."cough". Tommy loves Guinness however Guinness does not love Tommy. Guinness to Tommy is like Kryptonite to Superman and it affects his ability to remember chord changes. Tommy's wife Nancy has become an important part of the show belting out a few tunes a night for us. Tom and Nancy have future plans beyond Beernutz to take a Captain and Tennille cover show on the road.....look for it soon Jamie Pierce: Bass and Vocals - Born, raised, and still residing in Lindenhurst, N.Y., Jamie developed his affinity for the bass by watching repeated episodes of Barney Miller in the 70's. Jamie joined Beernutz after his stint as "Doug" on the popular Nickolodeon cartoon of the same name came to an abrupt end. Outside of Beernutz Jamie enjoys ice hockey, fishing, and watching his hair line recede. Jamie spends much of his free time at the Village Lantern in Lindenhurst where he consumes large quanities of Hofbrau beer and their tasty German cuisine. Beernutz is very lucky that the bars Jamie plays do not serve Hofbrau.*(see Tommy/Guinness). Michael Callaghan: Guitar and Vocals - Born in NYC and raised in Huntington, Michael now spends much of his time flying across the globe pushing toys....No he is not Santa. Michael, an exceptional guitarist spent much of his musical career with bands The Guide and later Tailspin with Tommy *(Michael is all too familiar with Tommy and Guinness). Michael plans on a future move up to the Adirondack Mountains where he will play to the wood folk and most likely end up having a seedy affair with a bear named Ben. |
